I feel the love of homes is in my blood. Buying, selling, renovating, building, investing, you name it. I love anything to do with homes.
My passion for homes started at an early age as I saw my parents design and build homes. They had immigrated from Lithuania to North America to start a new life when they were forced to flee the homes they loved that were seized during the war. When they arrived to Canada, they first settled in Montreal, Quebec and began their first building project - a triplex apartment building.
I remember hearing some of the stories how they worked together to build this first project. They lived in one of the apartments, and were landlords to the other two units. My sister Angela came along, and they decided they wanted more space, and they moved to rural Ancaster to a 100 acre farm.
Dad tried his hand at farming, but after the cows got sick and the chickens ran away, (I’m serious) he decided to stick to what he knew, and that was home construction.
Through my childhood in this beautiful countryside outside of Hamilton, I saw my parents work long and hard to build and sell homes. My mom would design one, and my dad would build it. I remember as a child running through the walls that were under construction, squeezing through the 2x4 framing that was waiting for the drywall to go up. Slow and steady the homes were built and finished often around us, and it felt like as soon as the paint was dry, up went the for sale sign.
As I grew up, I saw what was possible with an idea, some passion and hard work and what it took to make a house a home.
It was at the age of 19, I made my first plunge into Real Estate and purchased my very own home. Since then I have bought, sold, renovated and leased properties, enjoyed transforming countless kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, basements into beautiful living spaces with my biggest and most recent project of building a custom home. I became a landlord along the way which I can attest has improved my financial stability and quality of my life and the things I can provide for my daughter. Thanks to my investment properties, I was able to leverage equity and enjoy many experiences and opportunities I would never have been able to do without.
I am happiest helping people, and my transition through Real Estate acquisitions and now as licensed Realtor allows me to do just that. I get to work with wonderful people at all stages of their lives, and help them through these significant changes in their homes dreaming and considering the possibilities right along side buyers, sellers and investors.
