A Sellers Market 

In times like this, when there is large demand from home buyers on the market, and shortage of homes on the market for sale, this is considered a sellers market.  This trend is happening in many cities across Canada including right here in the Hamilton area.

What's driving demand?

The way we work has changed significantly in the past year.  We have seen a growing trend of people moving from larger cities to the Golden Horseshoe area, looking for more space. This is partly as many people are now working remotely.  Then add in the fact that interest rates are at a record low, the demand for homes in our area is strong.

Buyers Need Information and Advice

In a sellers market, there is often multiple offers on one property.  As there can only be one successful buyer, there are a number of buyers left still searching for their new home.   To navigate this market, and get that home for you, buyers need to be informed, seek the advice of a REALTOR ® and be prepared, and ready to act.  A great REALTOR ® will help you understand market conditions, what to do to prepare and get your offer noticed.
